Thursday the 22nd of October you will board on the ocean Diva during the Amsterdam Dance Event to showcase your sound during ‘Intuition Invites'. What's your vision about the famous ADE? What does the Amsterdam Dance Event specifically means for you?

I've been going to ADE for many years and it is always a great combination of parties and business meetings. It's like WMC only in Europe. Added with playing at Ocean Diva again that I have many fond memories of is going to make for an exciting night.

Furthermore, you will visit The Netherlands on December the 5^thfor ‘'The Best of Both Worlds' in the Heineken Music Hall Amsterdam. You're the man in charge together with Armin van Buuren. Your fans definitely will skip Santa Claus (a typical Dutch tradition; comparable to the American version of Santa Claus). What present are you going to give them on December the 5^th? And what's your personal definition of ‘the best of both worlds'?

Armin and I have been doing an Armin & Markus set in Ibiza for the past 2 years. It has been one of the most fun night of the summer season and I think it was time to do this on a larger scale. Playing back to back with Armin for 9 hours will give the fans the best of both worlds, a dark progressive melodic and uplifting journey.

What do you think of the Dutch public in general? And about the Dutch dance scene?

It has been well documented that I have a special connection with the Dutch fans. It is one of the first places to embrace me and my dark progressive trance sound. I always prepare something special when I play in Holland and I look forward to seeing the many friends that I have made there over the years.

Last but not least: what can we expect from you in 2010?

I am working on a new Markus Schulz artist album and I am very excited about it. Also be on the look out for more gigs and more tours to new cities that I have been looking forward to seeing for many years.
