Electronic Family warmly welcomes every trance fan to an exceptional festival in the Amsterdamse Bos on July 30th. The greenest oasis in the capital city will provide the new surroundings during this ‘Summer of Love' for an outdoor celebration of the most popular dance style ever. With a top 10 from DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs poll dominated every year by trance artists, and a record number of four consecutive Dutch No.1 placings for Armin van Buuren, the genre is blossoming as never before. Counting three areas, Electronic Family is not only the largest outdoor festival of its kind but it is above all a melodious tribute to 20 years of trance.

FAMILY STAGE
The Family Stage, which has been designated the main stage, is the beating heart of the festival and offers space to four world artists from the top of the DJmag Top 100. Without the crucial input of the Dutchmen Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten the trance landscape would have looked quite different today. Those first two pioneers will be joined on stage by the German-American celebrity Markus Schulz, the English hit-producer Gareth Emery, crown prince Jochen Miller and our Eastern neighbour Wippenberg.

A STATE OF TRANCE STAGE
The second stage, A State Of Trance, is a spin-off from Armin van Buuren's world famous radio show that has listeners from every corner of the globe. With the phenomenal ASOT500 continents tour still fresh in our memories, the highly acclaimed radio concept is going to give you a summer open-air treat. This stage is also a reflection of the best artists from the trance scene with the ear-catching names of Alex M.O.R.P.H., Aly & Fila, Gabriel & Dresden, Leon Bolier, Rank 1, Setrise, Sied van Riel and Simon Patterson.

SPACE STAGE
In the Space Ibiza & Kumharas present Balearic Beats area, relaxation is the key with the best artists under the Ibiza sun. In this laid-back Space Area, a tingling massage for the mind is on the programme; just perfect for recovering from all that trance intensity elsewhere on the site. The celebrated quartet of Eva Pacifico, Jose Maria Ramon, Isaak and Malte are representatives of the now rare ‘love, peace and happiness' feeling on the island, when an easy-going atmosphere was more important than wearing extremely expensive sunglasses.

HOSTESS NADIA ALI
Nadia Ali is a phenomenon in trance-land and is described as ‘the voice of a trance generation'. The singer had a worldwide breakthrough hit with ‘Rapture' by iiO and since then she has worked together with many standard-bearers from the scene, including Armin van Buuren. After their first collaboration on ‘Who Is Watching', the two got together once more for the track ‘Feels So Good' from Armin's latest artist album ‘Mirage'. Nadia Ali is also very active as a soloist. Her remix album ‘Queen Of Clubs', which came out last year and features the Grammy-nominated track ‘Fantasy', bears witness to this. The nightingale says she is very much looking forward to being your hostess for the day.

Het tot Family Stage gedoopte hoofdpodium is het kloppende hart van het festival, dat plaats biedt aan een viertal wereldartiesten uit top van de DJ Mag Top 100. Zonder de belangrijke inbreng van de Hollanders Armin van Buuren en Ferry Corsten had het trance-landschap er totaal anders uitgezien. De eerstgenoemde twee pioniers worden op het podium ter zijde gestaan door de Duits-Amerikaanse grootheid Markus Schulz, de Engelse hit-producer Gareth Emery, kroonprins Jochen Miller en onze Oosterbuur Wippenberg.

A STATE OF TRANCE STAGE
Het tweede podium A State Of Trance is een afgeleide van Armin van Buuren's wereldberoemde radioshow, die tegenwoordig in alle uithoeken van de wereld beluisterd wordt. Met de fenomenale ASOT500 continententour nog vooraan in het geheugen, gaat het gewaardeerde radioconcept jullie trakteren in de zomerse buitenlucht. Ook deze stage is een afspiegeling van de beste artiesten uit de trancescene, met de in het oor springende namen Alex M.O.R.P.H., Aly & Fila, Gabriel & Dresden, Leon Bolier, Rank 1, Setrise, Sied van Riel en Simon Patterson. SPACE IBIZA & KUMHARAS In de Space Ibiza & Kumharas present Balearic Beats area is relaxen de norm, met het beste onder de Ibiza zon. In deze ontspannen Space Area staat een tintelende massage voor de bovenkamer op het programma, perfect om even bij te komen van al dat trancegeweld elders op het terrein.
