Goed nieuws voor de tranceliefhebbers! Ter gelegenheid van de 500e editie van ‘A State of Trance' trekt Alda Events alles uit de kast. De populaire radioshow, wekelijks gepresenteerd door Armin van Buuren, bestaat tien jaar en heeft meer dan vijftien miljoen luisteraars in 26 landen. Geen wonder dat deze mijlpaal gevierd wordt. Vijf steden op vijf werelddelen vormen het decor voor het grootste trancefeest ter wereld!
Armin: " Ik ben erg trots op en blij met de 500ste aflevering. De hedendaagse sound van trance is anders dan tien jaar geleden maar het gevoel is nog hetzelfde. Trance is meegegroeid met de tijd. Tegenwoordig hoor je veel invloed van techno, minimal en house in trance. Het is prachtig om die hele ontwikkeling mee te hebben mogen maken tien jaar lang. En dat gaan we echt groots vieren! Omdat ASOT voornamelijk een show is voor en ook door fans, hebben de luisteraars hun invloed kunnen uitoefenen op de line-up. Ruim een maand lang hebben fans suggesties kunnen doen voor de invulling van de vijf A State of Trance evenementen. Het resultaat is een brede programmering DJ's, die niet alleen pure trance laten horen maar ook progressive trance, tech-trance en uplifting trance. Uiteraard worden de classics niet vergeten. Alle evenementen kan je gratis live bekijken via speciale internet kanalen."
Line-up
Wie A State of Trance (ASOT) regelmatig luistert weet dat Armin hierin de luisteraar zo goed mogelijk op de hoogte houdt van de nieuwste trancereleases en die van aan trance verwante stromingen. Hij houdt voor zijn radioshow nauwlettend alle ontwikkelingen in tranceland in de gaten, zodat hij vaak als eerste weet welke veelbelovende artiesten geboekt zouden moeten worden. De line-up van A State of Trance blijft daarom voorlopig nog even geheim, maar het komt vast niet als een verrassing dat de absolute top op trancegebied aanwezig is, terwijl ongetwijfeld ook enkele talentvolle nieuwkomers hun kans krijgen.

ASOT500 wereldtour
Na de succesvolle tour rondom de 450e editie vorig jaar is ditmaal een nog grotere wereldtour gepland die geheel in het teken staat van het getal 5. Binnen vijf weken worden vijf steden op vijf werelddelen bezocht met A State of Trance en er komen vijf live registraties daarvan in de radioshow. Wie niet de hele wereld over kan hoeft dus nog steeds niets te missen! De volgende vijf edities van A State of Trance zijn bevestigd.

Wonderful news for the true trance addict! As Armin van Buuren's radio show A State of Trance (ASOT) celebrates its 500th broadcast, Alda Events launches the ASOT500 world tour. The most popular dance-minded radio show worldwide has existed for ten years now and has grown to over 15 million listeners in 26 countries weekly. Obviously this milestone needs a celebration, and a small one would not do justice to the phenomenal success. That is why five cities around the globe will be visited by ASOT.
Armin says: "I am very proud and happy that we're going to be celebrating the 500th edition of the show. The way trance sounds today differs from ten years ago, but it has preserved the same feeling. Trance has evolved over the years. Nowadays trance is influenced by other styles like techno, minimal and tech-house. It is nice to have experienced this development, and we will celebrate trance in the biggest way possible! Since we make ASOT for the fans, we felt that they should be able to give their input on the line-up. For a period of one month, our listeners were given the opportunity to suggest DJs for the five events of ASOT. The result is a program with a wide variety of artists, not only specializing in pure trance but also progressive, tech-trance and uplifting trance. And of course the classic sound will not be left out! All live renditions of the five shows are going to be able to be viewed on special internet channels."

People regularly listening to ASOT know Armin is well informed on the latest releases in trance and trance-related styles. For his radio show Armin keeps a close eye on new developments. Therefore he is one of the first to know about promising DJs and live acts that deserve attention. So even though the line-up of ASOT is a secret for the time being, it does not come as a surprise that some very talented artists will be on-stage next to known headliners.

ASOT 500 world tour
After last year's successful tour for the 450th edition of ASOT, for 2011 an even larger world tour is scheduled. This time it's literally going to be based on the magic number ‘5'. Within five weeks, five cities on five continents will be visited by ASOT. Those who are not able to travel the world do not have to miss out on anything, as all five of the shows will be broadcast live on air.

9th April: Holland (Den Bosch)
16th April: Australia (Sydney)
